Mendenhall Glacier weather??
I've been looking at the Mendenhall glacier webcam fairly frequently -- can't wait to sail to Alaska on May 20th! It looks like the lake in front of the glacier is still frozen. Is it likely to be unfrozen by the middle/end of May? It looks like the weather the last week or so has been gorgeous, with lots of blue skies and sunshine. I'm sure the glacier helps keep the area cool, but how soon is the ice normally gone?
